ABOUT ME

My AI journey began in 2021, leading a customer experience team at a Fortune 20 telecom and media company. I helped deploy AI in customer-facing areas like IVRs and agent desktops, witnessing its power to transform interactions and streamline processes.
​
As platforms like OpenAI and Claude became mainstream, I experimented with them across functions. One project involved creating a custom GPT for a complex financial model, reducing a week’s analysis to minutes and driving impactful insights. This solidified my belief in AI’s potential.

While inspired by AI, I’m mindful of its impact on jobs. Read more below about two key experiences have shaped my mission.

​Empowering Through AI
​
In one mentoring session, I met a young husband and father who had recently been laid off after years at his job. He was overwhelmed and unsure how to navigate unemployment benefits, health insurance, and his job search. Over the course of an hour, we worked together to build a custom GPT using ChatGPT. It provided step-by-step guides on signing up for healthcare in his state, registering for unemployment, and launching his job search. What began as a session filled with fear turned into an empowering experience that left him feeling confident and in control. That light-bulb moment—for both of us—was unforgettable. AI didn’t replace his need to act, but it equipped him with the tools and knowledge to move forward.

AI in Non-Profits
​
Later, I was invited to a board meeting for a non-profit organization. I listened intently during the first session, taking note of their specific challenges. Between meetings, I built a GPT tailored to address one of their key pain points. When I returned for the second meeting, I presented ten AI-driven ideas. Remarkably, the human discussion during the meeting validated several ideas the GPT had surfaced. After presenting my top three solutions, the board decided to move forward with one of them. That idea is now helping thousands of high-risk, underserved populations across the Northwest. Seeing AI inspire meaningful action reinforced my belief in its power to create real-world impact.
